Voter in court to challenge nomination of Miguna for DG

A voter has moved to court to challenge the nomination of Lawyer Miguna Miguna to be Nairobi Deputy Governor.

According to John Waigi Migwi, the nominee does not meet the relevant qualifications for vetting and approval.

He insists that Miguna is not a Kenyan citizen neither is he a member of the Jubilee Party to which Governor Mike Sonko belongs to.

“The said nominee is a member of a prescribed group known as National Resistance Movement (NTM) which is an illegal movement that works closely with the main opposition parties in Kenya and spends its time antagonizing the policies of Jubilee party,” the court documents read.

The voter wants the court to stop the Nairobi County Assembly from vetting Miguna pending hearing and determination of the case.
