Former Director of Youth and Development in the Office of the President Walter Mongare alias Nyambane is mourning the death of his father.
Mongare took to Twitter on Wednesday to announce the
passing of his patriarch, whose cause of death has yet to be revealed.
“Still surreal that the man I’ve loved and called
father for over 47 years has taken a bow.
While remembering his late father as a man who always
advocated for discipline, the Umoja Summit Party of Kenya presidential aspirant noted
that he will forever cherish the memories he shared with his old man.
“It’s painful but the fond memories remain. Dad was a
disciplinarian who, before he punished us, ensured we were well fed. My
siblings and I wouldn’t be where we are had it not been for him,” said Mongare.
The comedian-turned politician similarly thanked his kindred for empathizing with him during the difficult period.
“I thanks family and friends for your immense support
during this difficult,” he said.
