Warrant of arrest issued against Wambora for missing court
A warrant of arrest has been issued against Embu Governor Martin Wambora for failing to appear in court to explain why he sacked three county officials.
Lady Justice Monica Mbaru has also directed the Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet to arrest County Secretary Josphat Ndwiga and county Public Service Board Secretary Johnson Nyaga over the move.
In the case, Bosco Mutegi Kiura, Joshua Mugo and Professor Joe Kamani sued the Public Service Board, arguing that their constitutional rights were violated following their dismissal.
According to the court document, Bosco, who was the governor’s personal assistant, claims he was not given a warning letter before his dismissal.
Mugo was a political advisor while Professor Kamani was an economic advisor to the governor.
