Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti has
conducted an audit on all County vehicles in efforts to streamline the Transport
Department.
Wavinya said she plans to also take a stock
of the County Government motor vehicle inventory.
During the exercise, the Governor
established that several vehicles did not have number plates while some
tractors had their numbers printed on a piece of paper.
Wavinya said the exercise was aimed at
harmonising the human resource capacity with the existing fleet of county
vehicles hence taking stock on all grounded and missing Government vehicles.
She added that necessary action would be
taken to those who did not adhere to the law, and called on county workers to
ensure that efficient and quality service is delivered across all sectors.
The Governor also visited Machakos level 5
hospital, where she cautioned health workers who have been involved in
sabotaging efforts of the county to provide the best health care.
This was after she received a consignment
of drugs and medical supplies from KEMSA.
Wavinya assured residents that she will
work round the clock to make sure that Machakos provides the best health
services in the country.
She also urged all pharmacies and health
facilities that neighbour Machakos level five to desist from buying medical
supplies from the public facility.
