Why Pump Prices Remain High

Turning to matters energy, Kenyan consumers may have to wait until February next year to see sharper drops in the local fuel prices. According to the energy regulatory commission, the latest drop in international crude oil prices will only be reflected in about 45 days from now, when the next consignment of imported fuel products will land in the country. But as Patrick Igunza reports, skepticism abounds still as to whether the country's pump price control regime is working to the benefit of the consumer.
