Wife stabs husband to death in Isiolo

A 32-year-old man has been stabbed to death by his wife in Deliverance Village in Kulamawe, Isiolo County.

Linet Odhiambo is accused of killing her husband Jacob Odhiambo on Saturday night after protracted domestic squabbles.

Confirming the incident, Isiolo sub-county police commander William Kiambi said that a neighbour reported the incident at around 10:00 pm and police who rushed to the scene found the deceased helplessly lying on the floor.

Odhiambo was then taken to Isiolo Referral Hospital and was pronounced dead after midnight.

Kiambi has condemned the incident and called for amicable ways of resolving domestic violence without resulting in deaths.

"The family feud-related deaths have cost the country many lives and we cannot continue like that. Families need to have the best ways to resolve the problem before reaching that far," Kiambi said.

The body of the deceased was moved to Isiolo referral hospital mortuary as the suspect remains detained at Isiolo main police station awaiting to be arraigned on Monday.
