Woman who was thrown out of moving matatu buried in Muranga
Calls for justice dominated the burial of Judy Wanjiku, a 25-year-old banker who died after being thrown out of a moving vehicle along Thika Road last week.
Family members, who mourned the deceased as a friendly and god fearing lady, said she will be missed in the family. they have urged the police to arrest the matatu crew who are said to have committed the heinous act.
The deceased, who was a banker, was laid to rest at Githambo village, Kiharu constituency in Muranga County.
She was declared dead on Sunday morning from internal injuries she sustained the previous night when she was assaulted and kicked out of a moving matatu. Wanjiku reportedly had a disagreement with the crew of the matatu she had boarded to Mwea at around 6.30pm.
It is after a heated argument that Wanjiku was hauled out of the vehicle in Juja.
And now family members and friends of Wanjiku, are demanding quicker justice for the deceased
Police are still searching for the driver and his tout who were involved in the incident. The officers had last week also impounded the vehicle involved in the incident. It is currently held at Wanguru Police station in Mwea alongside all others belonging to the Memba Sacco have been revoked by the National Transport and Safety Authority.
