Youngster Quentin Takes Pole in Kajiado Rally This Weekend

Kajiado, normally dusty will offer a very different kettle of fish with the current heavy rains in the county. Rally drivers will have to fight out in the mud for 250 kilometres of competitive rallying. The Rally starts at 7.00am outside KCB Kitengela branch in Kajiado County on Saturday.

Second off the ramp will be the current KNRC and FIA African Rally Championship leader Jaspreet Singh Chatthewho is driving a Mitsubishi Lancer EvolutionX. Third off the ramp is Rajbir Rai in a Ford Fiesta R5.

Ian Duncan (EvoX), Carl "Flash" Tundo (Proton Neo Satria S2000), Onkar Rai (EvoX) and his Kabras teammate Baldev Chager (EvoX) follow in the order.

It will be a special rally for Onkar, as the youngster returns to the terrain where he made his debut in 2010

"Kajiado will be the same approach for me as usual. I really have to be clean and quick! I'm looking forward to it! Having Boldy as the team lead driver is a great motivator especially now that he is starting behind me, it is pressure that I am thoroughly enjoying!" Onkar said.

Quentin Mitchell is working closely with Skoda on developing parts that will be tough enough for Africa.

"Skoda have been fantastic and are working closely with us on improving the already world famous fantastic reliability of the Fabia S2000. We have had specific components x-rayed to ensure that their integral strength is still there and we are confident that we can attack the Kajiado Rally at full speed," said Quentin.
