You’ve deserted Raila in war against graft, Ruth Odinga tells Cord MPs

Kisumu Deputy Governor Ruth Adhiambo Odinga has taken issue with CORD MPs for failing to support opposition leader Raila Odinga in the war against corruption.

Ruth said the MPs have deliberately deserted the former premier in the war against graft to an extent that he is being maligned by junior politicians in the Jubilee government.

She challenged the parliamentarians to back the Cord leader in rooting out graft in the country.

Ruth Odinga further urged the opposition legislators to stop raising issues in funeral ceremonies and do so in Parliament.

“I want to urge CORD MPs to put their priorities right and refrain from performing duties meant for Members of the County Assembly such as carrying out campaigns for ID and voters card registration.”

She further expressed her interest in running for Kisumu Governorship during the 2017 General Election dismissing reports that she will be a running mate in the gubernatorial seat in the next elections.

She said she is well equipped and has adequate experience to be in the ballot for the gubernatorial seat in 2017.

Ruth Odinga was speaking during the burial of an ODM activist Joseph Obado Bonyo at Mbeka village in Bondo constituency.
