Yvonne Wamalwa, the widow of former Vice President Michael Kijana Wamalwa has passed on in Nanyuki.

According to a source in the family, Yvonne died early Thursday morning and the body will be moved to the Lee Funeral Home in Nairobi.

Before her death, Yvonne served as a director of foreign service in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Cause of death remains unknown.
