Babu pleased with Nzoia outcome against Tusker, says team on 'right path'
Nzoia Sugar FC
tactician Salim Babu has lauded his team for playing to his instructions
against Football Kenya Federation Premier League defending champions Tusker on
Saturday, saying they had prepared well for the match and the point earned
after a barren draw was not by fluke.
The draw saw
the Sudi-based millers remain second on the FKF-PL log.
Babu believes
they are on the ‘right path’ to finish in a better position this term.
"We had
prepared well for the match. Football is a game of instructions and the players
played just how I wanted and put in the effort,” he explained.
“We remain
second on the log and we want to keep the pace, we want to finish in a better
position this term and not worry about relegation, you can see my boys are in
high spirits to ensure this is done," Babu told Citizen Digital.
The Millers are placed second on the Football Kenya Federation Premier league log with 18 points after nine rounds played so far, just one point behind leaders Tusker who are on 19 after eight rounds.
