Bakari back at Nzoia after Bidco move falls through
Nzoia Sugar FC defender Randy Bakari is reportedly back at
Sudi after his move to FKF Premier League rivals Bidco United fell through.
Bakari was among Bidco’s new players unveiled during the
pre-season as coach Anthony Akhulia looked to beef up the backline that was an
area of concern for them last season.
He impressed in training but has had to return to Nzoia after
the club declined to hand him a release letter in order to complete his switch
to Thika based side.
He will now remain with the Salim Babu coached side for at
least half a season.
While giving an update on the preparedness of the team for
the new season, Nzoia Sugar FC head coach Salim Babu said two players returned
to the team after their transfers flopped.
"We have two players whose transfer did not materialize
and they are back here, we have also made some good signings and the boys are
roaring to go. We have been recruiting young players and grooming them well
only to lose them.
“We will try our best to retain them this time round. I am
certain that we will be having good matches and winning in a convincing
way," Babu said.
Bidco United’s new acquisitions are; Ezekiel Okare (MCF),
Michael Bodo and Thomas Wainaina (FC Talanta), Henry Juma (Kariobangi Sharks),
Lucas Indeche, Marvin Nderitu (Fortune Sacco FC), Samuel Ndung'u (Kenya Police
FC), Benson Iregi (Vapour), Francis Kamau (Mathare United), and Tsuma Said (Sofapaka).
