The Dockers are setting sail with serious ambitions. After a busy transfer window that saw a wave of experienced signings join the club, including the return of familiar faces like Hassan Abdalla and new additions such as Congolese shot-stopper Allain Ngeleka and striker Amza Mubarak, Bandari look poised to challenge for the title.
"We are not here to donate points—we're here to win every point and make our fans proud," Odhiambo told Citizen Digital in a pre-season interview full of optimism and determination.
One of the key strengths this season, according to Ken, is the squad depth. Unlike last season where options were limited—especially upfront—the team now boasts a strong bench with multiple attacking options and better defensive coverage.
Pre-season preparations have also gone smoothly. The team held a training camp at Mashru Complex in Kajiado and wrapped it up with a high-profile international friendly against Tanzanian giants Yanga SC.
“It was a good bonding experience and a confidence booster, especially for the new players,” Ken said. “That game helped me decide my starting eleven.”
The campaign begins with a tough clash away to Kariobangi Sharks at Kasarani Annex this Saturday at 3:00PM. Sharks are known for their attacking football, but coach Odhiambo is ready for the challenge.
"They don’t sit back—it’ll be end-to-end. But if we execute our plan, we’ll walk away with all three points."
Bandari have re-signed their former players: Hassan Abdalla (returned from Coastal Union in Tanzania), Darius Msagha (from Shabana), Omar Somobwana, and Boniface Mwangemi.
They also brought in Congolese goalkeeper Allain Ngeleka, striker Amza Mubarak, Naaman Balecho, Mohammed Katana, Eric Mulu, Said Tsuma, Ally Yusuf, and goalkeeper Levis Opiyo from AFC Leopards.
