Bandaris Kenga eyes return to action

Bandari FC winger Shaban Kenga is hoping for a quick return to training later this month after a review with his doctors.

The experienced winger who went under the knife is anticipating a return to training and playing in the remaining matches of the season if the doctors give him a clean bill of health.

“I will see the doctor on 16th April where he will check me up and give his remarks. Hopefully it will be positive because I can now walk without sticks,” explained Kenga.

The former Gor Mahia loanee at the same time says he’s missed being in the field and can’t wait to kick the ball again, taking time to hail his team mates for the good performance in the league so far.

“I am following some training sessions and all matches, the boys are doing a great job and I hope to join them soon.”

Kenga picked up the knee injury in the 2-0 win over against Western Stima in January after an awful tackle by Mukisa Junior.

In the same match William Wadri and Collins Agade were also substituted after picking knocks. The duo has however since recovered.

The dockers are currently placed fifth in the log with 27 points after 16 matches, one shy of Kariobangi Sharks and 9 points behind leaders Tusker.
