Barcelona coach praises players after Betis win

Barcelona rounded up a memorable 2015 by cementing their position at the top of La Liga with a 4-0 thrashing of Real Betis on Wednesday.

Head coach Luis Enrique admitted his side struggled early on, but a Heiko Westermann own goal, Lionel Messi’s strike on his 500th appearance – and a brace from Luis Suarez gave Barca an easy win.

“Everybody can improve – all the players, all the coaches and all the staff at this club. It has been a great year, but we have also made mistakes I am sure of this – there were games where we didn’t perform well and we were struggled at times.”

The Catalan giants won La Liga, Copa del Rey, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and Club World Cup honours in 2015, but Enrique admits his team weren’t always at their best.
