Buoyed by Kisumu win, Bandari aim to hit top form in second leg

Bandari FC will be looking to build on their weekend win against Kisumu All-Starsas they gear up for the second leg of the Kenyan Premier League. Yema Mwana and Shaban Kenga were on target at the weekend to secure the win at the lakeside city of Kisumu to relieve under-pressure coach Bernard Mwalala. Prior to this win Bandari had gone through a rough patch of form losing 0-1 last week on Wednesday at the Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega  against team Kakamega Homeboyz. Speaking after collecting maximum points in Kisumu, Bandari midfielder David King’atua termed the win as “a starting point” while they look to gain back their winning mojo. “It is a good starting point after bad results and we hope to start the second leg with the same pace,” said King’atua. On his part,  Bandari assistant aoach Nasoro Mwakoba added that the players came together and decided to work as a team resulting to the win. “We put our heads together and the players assured that they will play their part as we do ours and the results are coming,” explained Mwakoba. The dockers who have been on and off this season are 11th in the 17 team log with 15 points after 13 rounds of matches. They will begin their second leg campaign with two home games against KCB and Nzoia Sugar on 8th and 11th January next year.
