City Stars targeting maximum points against Wazito

Nairobi City Stars boss Patrick Korir is confident they will bag maximum points against Wazito in an Premier League contest on Wednesday at  Ruaraka Grounds in Nairobi.

City Stars are placed 15th on the league standings after 11 rounds having won just twice, drawn twice and lost seven matches.

Korir says the team is psyched up after Mathare United win and they will aim to register positive results against Wazito tomorrow.

“We started badly, losing seven matches but so far, the boys are picking up and the mood in the team is positive, we want to win against Wazito,” Korir told Citizen Digital.

The soft spoken administrator says the team is not under pressure and they are rebuilding having recruited relatively young players.

“We have nine young players in the team. We are rebuilding and so far seven have integrated well with the team. The two suffered injuries but they are back.

“Our main target is to help these boys establish themselves well so that they can earn slots in the national team - we are patiently working on it,” he added.

Wazito, who are placed 16th on the log, will be seeking to redeem themselves after falling 1-0 against Kakamega Homeboyz on Sunday.

Several league matches are lined up across different stadiums tomorrow.

KCB will play Posta at Kasarani, Kakamega Homeboyz host Sofapaka at Bukhungu, Bidco take on Mathare in Thika while AFC Leopards play a resurgent Police at Nyayo Stadium.

Millers Nzoia will host Vihiga Bullets in a Luhya derby at Sudi.
