Coach Odhiambo impressed by Bandaris new blood

Bandari FC head coach Ken Odhiambo says he was impressed by his new young signings whom he said were a good foundation for the future of the team.

Hamid Mohammed, Swaleh Chacha and Dennis Magige were all introduced as substitutes in their Bandari’s season-opening game which they won 1-0 against Sofapaka FC.

“The boys played a wonderful game despite being their first in top flight predicting a better future for our team(Bandari),” Odhiambo said.

Odhiambo, who doubles as the Harambee Stars assistant coach, has added that their win will act as a morale booster in the coming matches.

“Our pre-season has been very short but starting with a win is a boost for us going forward,” he added.

The docker missed the services of their strikers William Wadri and Johanna Mwita through injuries but Odhiambo is optimistic they will cop until their return.

Other injured players in the squad is Benjamin Mosha and Hassan Iddi who returned after his loan spell at Coast Stima elapsed.

“I thought we could not find the back of the net but my boys did what we planned”.

Harambee Stars winger Abdallah Hassan scored the lone goal in the encounter at Mbaraki ground.

Bandari travel to Nairobi for their second clash against Tusker FC in the coming weekend before another away game against Nairobi City Stars.
