Compel eye NSL berth in Bumbani Stars playoff clash

Football Kenya Federation Division One Zone B side Compel FC
are gearing up for a crucial promotion playoff clash against Bumbani Stars,
with a place in the National Super League (NSL) on the line.
Finishing second in the league's Zone B, Compel
booked their meeting against Zone A’s runners-up, Bumbani Stars, in what
promises to be a tightly contested battle for elevation to Kenya's second-tier
league.
Under the tutelage of head coach George Mutimba,
Compel have shown tremendous progress this season, narrowly missing the top
spot in Zone B with less goal difference behind winners Soy United, both with
56 points in 28 outings.
Despite finishing second, their campaign has
earned them a lifeline through the playoff system. Speaking to Citizen Digital,
Mutimba expressed confidence, affirming that his side will rise to the occasion
and secure promotion.
“Our goal is to beat Bumbani Stars and qualify for
the National Super League. But we are not stopping there,” Mutimba said. “We
are building a team that can not only compete in the NSL but also fight for
promotion to the Premier League next year.”
