Congolese Mwana aims to score at will for Bandari

Congolese import Yema Mwana says his target is to score at least 15 goals for his employers Bandari this term. Bandari won their second FKF Premier League game last weekend, beating Western Stima 2-0 at Mbaraki grounds in Mombasa, with Mwana and Benjamin Mosha on target. And Mwana believes he has what it takes to claim a double-digit goal tally by the end of the 2020/21 season. “I know I lost my touch but it is coming back slowly and I am sure to continue scoring,” the forward told Citizen Digital. “I have been scoring 14 to 15 goals since joining Bandari and my target for the season is 15 goals or more.” The attacker is optimistic scoring in two consecutive matches is just the start to ”good things” individually and as a team. “We were under pressure to win, we have been playing well but goals have not been coming our way. I believe many more wins are coming for us,” he added. Bandari technical director Twahir Muhiddin on his part is still crying out to their forward line to utilize their chances well as they lack goals since the start of the season. Muhiddin reckons they could have registered a bigger win against Stima had they capitalised on the chances created. “Yes we won but the hard way, we could have buried the game so early,” said the soft-spoken tactician. Bandari are now placed six on the log having garnered eight points from their opening six games and will be away to Zoo over the weekend on match day 7. Meanwhile the club have suffered a setback with skipper Shaban Kenga set to be out for at least four months following his surgery. Kenga will have a further review after 120 days.
