Could ace Mulumba bolt out of Bandari?

Bandari FC captain Felly Mulumba has cast doubt on his future at the club noting that ‘he will consider good offers’ that may come his way.

Mulumba was the subject of intense speculation in Dar es Salaam during the Super Cup finals amid reported interest from Tanzanian champions Simba SC.

But in an interview with Citizen Digital, the 28-year- old Congolese centre-half indicated that he would be open to attractive offers

“For now I am committed at Bandari, I still have a contract with the club and I respect that,” said Mulumba when asked about the interest from other clubs.

When stressed on whether he would switch to Simba after his stellar performances in Super Cup finals, he said, “If a good offer comes then I will think about it before making a decision. It depends on the offer, if it satisfies both parties then obviously we are going to talk about it and see the way forward ,” Said Mulumba.

Mulumba joined Bandari from fellow KPL side Sofapaka in 2016 and has been a defensive stalwart at the coast based side, emerging as one of the clubs with the worst defensive records the previous season.

It will be a big blow for the coastal based side if the award winning centre-half, crowned as the best defender of the 2018 KPL season ditches the dockers with the club now considered one of the strongest candidates for this year’s league title.

Mulumba has been phenomenal on and off the pitch, and this could have appealed to the Simba hierarchy.
