Kenya's Emily Ngii has bagged the bronze medal after placing third in the women's 10,000m race walk at the Commonwealth Games.

Ngii, the African champion, clocked a new personal best mark  and Area record of 43:50.86 to finish third behind Jemima Montag of Australia (42:34.30) and Priyanka of India (43:38.83) who took gold and silver respectively.

The 35-year-old improved from her ninth-place finish at the 2010 Commonwealth Games held in New Delhi, India.

Kenya sits fourth on the medal standings at the Club Games with eight medals; two gold, three silver and three bronze.
