Gogo are currently fifth on the log with 50 points, two below fellow FKF-Premier League promotion-chasing Naivas, who are third while Fortune Sacco are in fourth on 51 points.

Gogo, who lost 1-0 to resurgent Nzoia Sugar in their last league outing, have played one fewer match and have three matches remaining—against Samwest Blackboots, Fortune Sacco and Luanda Villa.

Darajani Gogo had a brilliant run of form, winning five and drawing one before Nzoia Sugar put an end to their streak.

Avoga believes the squad is in a strong position, both mentally and physically to finish the season on a high note.

“We took the loss to Nzoia positively, they got a controversial penalty and scored, but our boys are in good shape and mood. We're planning to win all our remaining matches.”

With three crucial matches ahead, Darajani Gogo are determined to make every point count. Sudi reflected on past setbacks and emphasized the importance of turning the tide in the second leg.

“Fortune Sacco beat us at home in the first leg with a last-minute goal, it was unfortunate. They took the bragging rights, but when we met them away, we have to punish them.

The upcoming clash with Luanda Villa holds extra significance. Not only is it a home match, but it also offers a chance to gain revenge after a previous loss.

“We will be at home against Luanda, and we expect the home advantage to work for us. We’re calling on the fans to come out in numbers and push the boys. Their support makes a huge difference.”

Darajani Gogo are closely watching Naivas, who currently sit above them in the standings. Sudi knows the path to success hinges on more than just effort; they also need a bit of luck.

“We hope Naivas drop points. For us, the mission is clear: win our last three matches, all must-win games,” he stressed.

Darajani Gogo have been improving over the seasons, in the 2022/2023 season they finished seventh on 43 points, the following season they finished 6th on 53 points. With three games to play in this campaign Gogo are fourth on 58 points.

The administrator credited the consistent improvement over the last three seasons to leadership of head coach Paul Ogai and a focused recruitment strategy.

“Coach Ogai is wise and knows how to get the best from players. We did smart recruitment. We didn’t chase big names. We brought in three experienced players, but our focus was building a young, hungry squad, boys who want to play, to prove themselves.”
