Don't panic, Mwalala tells Homeboyz

Kakamega Homeboyz head coach Bernard Mwalala is not
deterred in his quest to lift their first ever Kenyan Premier League title,
despite dropping points against Sofapaka on Sunday.
Mwalala has however told his players to keep the focus they have
exhibited since the beginning of the season, with their lead over challengers
Tusker FC now reduced to eight points.
“There is an element of panic that I have
witnessed with the players after the last two games but the situation is under
control. We are hoping to bounce back to winning ways in our next match, I have
told the players that is normal in football and they should not panic,” said
Mwalala
Mwalala wants his charges to focus on bouncing back to winning
ways, without over thinking of the title after the 1-1 draw against the 2009 champions, who they have drawn twice this
season.
“Sofapaka is a very strong team that no one
should underrate. Thay have very good players and their technical bench is very
experienced, they gave us a hard time but we were lucky to get the two draws.
Homeboyz next take on Police FC, a match Mwalala expects to be
tough with the law enforcers coming from loss to Talanta.
“They are wounded and they will want to revenge against us to
derail our title ambitions but we are working hard in training to get back to
winning ways,” Mwalala told Citizen
Digital.
Homeboyz are at the top of the Kenyan Premier League log with 54
points from 26 matches played.
