Editor: Dennis Oliech tapped to coach Harambee Stars, an April Fools' prank

Yesterday, April 1 2023, we published a story insinuating that the Football Kenya Federation had tapped former Harambee Stars striker Dennis Oliech to coach the national football team. The article, titled, Bold move? Nick Mwendwa picks Dennis Oliech as new Harambee Stars coach, was the most read story on our website yesterday, with over 19.5k readers by 2300hrs, 12 hours after it was published.
The editor however wishes to state that the story was an April Fools' Day prank, usually marked on the first day of April every year and in no way is the Football Kenya Federation considering hiring the Kenyan football legend for such duties, at least for now. Engin Firat remains in charge as the head coach of Harambee Stars.
