Marathon legend Eliud Kipchoge has
embarked on a mission to run marathons in the seven continents.
The 42-km road race master said
that he will announce the full plan of the marathons on March 9.
He was speaking to journalists
ahead of the launch of Huawei's GT Runner 2 watch, which he helped to develop.
"With technology you can access
good coaches from all over the world, keep track of your performance and body
condition,” Kipchoge said.
Kipchoge, who said that the best
moment in his career is breaking the sub-2-hour barrier, said the next
generation of runners have a good chance of outperforming him with the help of
technology.
"Every younger person is 100%
better than me,” he said, while expressing confidence that the country's
dominance in marathon and long-distance is set to continue.
"If you want good furniture
go to Switzerland, if you want good clothes go to Italy but if you want to run
go to Kenya."
Kipchoge said that the country is
blessed with talent and good environment for runners.
