EMBU RFC targets Division Two Cup in Kisumu
Embu RFC head coach Moses Mukabane aims to win the main cup of the National Circuit Division Two which enters the fifth round this weekend in Kisumu, popularly known as Dala Sevens.
Mukabane charges lifted plate trophy in Mombasa two weeks ago to grant them their first ever trophy in the circuit.
“We are targeting the main cup looking forward to a place in the last leg of the circuit, in division one. We have progressed well since the first leg of the circuit climbing up the ranks, and we believe we will win the second division main cup final to make the Christies as a division one team,” said the tactician.
With the Driftwood 7s Champions MKU Thika not participating in the division two as they earned a spot in the top tier league, Mukabane says his team line-up will remain a secret ahead of Dala Sevens.
“It’s a secret but I believe changes are always there knowing that every tournament comes differently. One or two changes can be expected because the team we lined up in Mombasa performed very well,” he added.
The dragons are in position two in the division two with 50 points, one behind leaders Egerton Wasps and one ahead of third placed MKU Thika.
