The bankers will be meeting Strathmore Swords in their last game of the Kenya National Basketball Women’s Premier League on Saturday at the Olympic grounds, Nairobi.
Equity are currently third on the log with 36 points after playing 21 matches, winning 15 and losing six.
“This being our last game of the season before the playoffs, the team is upbeat and ready,” said Oluoch.
“We’ve put in the hard work and prepared thoroughly, so we’re coming in with all guns blazing. We expect a tough but exciting match, and I’m confident my girls are ready to deliver a strong performance and a positive result.”
The coach emphasized that the match was not like any other fixture but an important step in building momentum for the playoffs.
The players have been sharpening their strategies, improving teamwork, and maintaining focus as they aim to end the regular season on a high note.
With the playoffs around the corner, the final game serves as both a test and a statement of intent for Equity Hawks, who are determined to make a deep run in the postseason and defend the trophy they won last season against giants Kenya Ports Authority (KPA).
KPA tops the league standings with 41 points from 21 games, winning 20 and losing one with one game to go against second place, Zetech Sparks.
Zetech are second with 38 points from 20 matches, after winning 18 and losing two.
