Ex-Leopards boss Ole Magelo hospitalised

Former AFC Leopards boss Alex Ole Magelo is hospitalized.

Magelo was in charge of Leopards when the club was promoted back to the top tier league in 2009 after it had been relegated the previous year, to the second tier league.

According to his wife Lucy Muthoni Magelo,  the former Leopards chairman is doing well at a city hospital where he has been receiving treatment for several days.

“I want to says that Mzee is in good condition,” Mrs Magelo told Citizen Digital on Wednesday.

Magelo quit Ingwe towards the end of 2013 citing sabotage and unhealthy politics within the club circles.

After leaving Leopards, Magelo also tried his hands in politics, serving as the Speaker of the Nairobi County Assembly, from 2013 to 2017.
