Shivachi, who joined Ingwe in 2019, says he took his former employer to the tribunal after his efforts to reach them bore no fruits.
“I have tried reaching out to the management, but my efforts have not been fruitful. Their silence over the matter has informed my decision to talk to other leaders on the same,” Shivachi said.
“I have acquired the services of lawyer Paul Shivachi, who will now handle this case, and he has already written a letter to them on the same,” he added.
According to the former Tusker FC defender, Leopards owe him Sh 1.2M that has been accrued from the day he signed for them to when his contract expired at the end of last season.
Shivachi now says life has been tough for him since he left AFC Leopards at the end of the season, and he has been forced to turn to business to keep himself and his family afloat.
“They have been having my arrears every season, and when you add the arrears with the signing-on fee, they owe me Ksh1.2M.
“I have a child who is at home and can’t go to school because I can’t raise her school fees. I don’t have any other source of income, hence my move to court (SDT) to force Ingwe to do the needful,” said Shivachi.
Shivachi’s case weeks after AFC Leopards was forced to reach a written agreement with their immediate former head coach Patrick Aussems who threatened to report them to FIFA over Ksh20 unpaid dues.
Several former foreign players and coaches have also reported Ingwe to FIFA over their unpaid salaries.
