FKF release Shield tournament schedule

The 2019 edition of the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Shield is set to kick off on March 9, 2019, with the final slated for June 1.

There are 64 slots at the disposal of clubs affiliated to FKF, with those intending to take part in the knockout competition, having until March 1 to confirm their participation with the federation’s Competitions Department.

The tournament’s winner gets a chance to take part in the CAF Confederations Cup, besides a Ksh2 million cash prize.

Kariobangi Sharks won the 2018 edition after staging a late comeback to beat Sofapaka 3-2 in the final played at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani.
