Fortune Sacco urge quick resolution to disputed NSL matches
Fortune Sacco has called for officials to quickly resolve
their pending National Super League (NSL) match disputes that would put them
firmly in an automatic top-flight promotion place.
Fortune’s opponents MCF FC last week abandoned their match
after one hour of play at the Mukinduri Stadium in Kirinyaga with Team Manager Peter
Muriithi saying the report from match officials remains under review.
“The referee’s report is going to show exactly what
transpired in that game. We’re waiting for the final verdict because you just
don’t abandon a match,” Muriithi said.
Muriithi is confident that the match will be awarded to them
along with their other dispute against Shabana FC.
“We have our last game against Gusii FC where if we win we
can go level on points with APS Bomet and that means a direct ticket to the FKF
Premier League,” he said.
NSL leaders APS Bomet have already been promoted to the FKF
Premier League with Fortune, Muranga Seal and Muhoroni Youth the other teams
fighting for the remaining automatic promotion slot.
