Gor close to signing Omondi

Kenyan Premier League giants Gor Mahia are close to signing midfielder Nicholas Omondi.

Omondi who has been turning out for National Super League side Kibera Black Stars has been training with the club and according to team manager Jolawi Obondo, the youngster has impressed in training and head coach Steve Pollack will make the final call.

Should he be signed, Omondi is expected to fill the void left by midfielder Tobias Otieno who is set to depart for US second-tier side Union Omaha.

Meanwhile former coach Frank Nuttall has been appointed head coach of Township Rollers in Botswana.

Nuttall who won back to back titles with Gor Mahia the highlight of which was winning the 2015 title unbeaten has inked a six-month deal with an option of renewal.
