Harambee Stars land Sh20 million deal ahead of AFCON

The national football team Harambee Stars has received  a massive shot in the arm after they entered into  a partnership with a leading online betting platform as their official partners.

The partnership will see the Stars funded to a tune of Sh 20million for this year’s Africa Cup of Nations, with Sh5million set to go into the purchase of the national team’s kits and fans replica jerseys.

“We are happy to be partnering at this time when we are preparing to grace the Africa Cup of Nations for the first time in 15 years,” said FKF President Nick Mwendwa.

Harambee Stars has for the first time in 15 years qualified for the Africa Cup of Nations, set to be held in Egypt in June 2019.

The team is set to face Ghana, despite having already qualified for the continental showpiece, in the final qualifying match slated for March 23, 2019, in Accra.

A three-week camp has also been lined up in France, in May, before Stars head to Egypt for the tourney.
