Harambee Stars Saturday morning failed to travel to Mauritius for the four-nation invitational tournament as was earlier planned, due to what Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has explained as lack of flights to the Island nation.

Consequently, the team will play only two matches instead of three, when they travel on Monday - according to FKF Secretary General Barry Otieno.

"The change of itinerary also means that Kenya will now play two matches instead of the planned three due to FIFA regulations on player rest days between matches," said Otieno.

The tournament kicks off Sunday, with hosts Mauritius, Pakistan and Djibouti taking part.

Stars had their last training session Friday morning before the rescheduled flight, with head coach Engin Firat saying he would use the tournament to build a strong team looking forward to resumption of competitive matches later this year.
