Hassan stars as Bandari whitewash poor Assad to reach Shield final
Abdallah Hassan scored a brace and assisted two as Bandari FC thrashed SS Assad 6-1 at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos to storm to the final of the Shield Cup .
The dockers got off to a flying start in the first minute when Congolese Yema Mwana tapped in Abdallah’s cross .
Abdallah then capitalised on Assad keeper Suleiman Hamis blunder in the fourth minute to score the second for Bandari before he set up Darius Msagha for the third in the 14th minute.
Four minutes later, Ugandan left back Fred Nkata played a one-two with Wycliffe Ochomo before feeding Abdallah with a nice cross to complete his brace.
Ochomo who replaced injured Yema Mwana missed a number of chances before scoring his second goal since returning from injury and Bandari’s fifth in the match.
Assad got their consolation goal through Athman Bori who capitalised on Farouk Shikhalo’s spilled punch to slot home four minutes to the breather.
Bandari picked up from where they’d left after the breather with William Wadri finishing off Nkata’s cross in the first minute of the last half to bag a sixth for the coastal outfit.
The Bernard Mwalala’s side will face the winner between Kariobangi Sharks and KCB in the June 1 final. The winner earn a ticket to represent Kenya in the CAF Confederations Cup next season.

It’s the third time in a row Kariobangi Sharks have made it to the final but their opponents KCB would feel they should have done better after failing to covert a multiple of chances in the first half.
The winner of the clash will bag Ksh. 2 million in money prize.
