Improve or risk relegation, Alagic warns City Stars

Nairobi City Stars tactician Sanjin Alagic has fired a salvo at his boys, warning them to improve or risk getting relegated at the end of the season, if they do not bounce back to winning ways.

Alagic’s comments come in the wake of a 2-0 loss to Kakamega Homeboyz over the weekend at the Bukhungu Stadium, Kakamega.

The loss was preceded by a 1-2 defeat to Kariobangi Sharks which has left them at position 13 on 10 points, 16 adrift of leaders Tusker.

“I am totally disappointed; we can’t keep losing, we can’t keep on conceding easy goals. We have to stop, we have a serious problem with the striking department,” Alagic said.

Alagic, fuming at the events of the last two weeks, also spared no time in reminding his boys to pull up their socks.

“In football we need to win and win, it’s not going to be business as usual, this laxity has to stop, we need to seriously work on striking department,” added Alagic.

Nairobi City Stars host relegation threatened Zoo Kericho on Saturday in yet another weekend fixture and Alagic is optimistic his boys will get back to winning ways.
