Borji confirmed that a long list of key players, including Abdallah Hassan, Tanui Emoni, Beja Nyamawi, Mohammed Barisa, Mbarak Musa, David Ng’ang’a, John Makwata, and goalkeeper Alain Ngeleka, will all miss the clash due to injuries.
With senior options dwindling, the tactician has turned to Bandari Youth’s rising stars to reinforce the squad.
“Our injury list is long, but the young players are stepping in well,” Borji said confidently. “With continued good training, we’ll build a strong team going forward.”
One area he’s keen to sharpen is the attack.
“We’re not scoring enough, but we’re working hard to improve our finishing.”
Since taking charge, Borji has managed only one win in seven matches—and the relentless travel schedule hasn’t made things easier. Bandari are preparing for their third consecutive away fixture, a demanding stretch that has visibly taken a toll.
“My players are fatigued from the long hours on the road,” he admitted. “But we’re going for maximum points against APS Bomet.”
Bandari captain Andrew Juma echoed his coach’s fighting spirit, insisting the Dockers are fully motivated.
“We’ve trained well all week and we’re psyched for the APS match,” Juma said. “We picked up a point in each of our last two away games, but this time we’re pushing for all three. It’s been a while since our last win against Sofapaka.”
Bandari currently sit 12th with 12 points, while APS Bomet are 17th on 9 points.
