Kajiado FC continued their remarkable start to the National Super League (NSL) season with a 2-0 win over Rainbow FC at the Ildamat Stadium in Kajiado Town.

The home side got the job done in the first half with Abubakar Wangai and James Mutuku on target with victory moving them fifth with 14 points.

Mathare United continued their charge towards an immediate return to the FKF Premier League, winning 2-1 away at Gusii FC to stay top with seven points.

The Slum Boys can further stretch their advantage at the summit if they win their game in hand.

In Kajiado, Wangai put away his chance for an early goal that put the hosts 1-0 up after four minutes.

They doubled their lead in the 40th minute as Mutuku reacted fastest to turn home a rebound from a save by goalkeeper Paul Odhiambo who failed to handle Madegar Valdo's initial effort.

On resumption Rainbow look rejuvenated but all their effort to get any goal were thwarted by Kajiado defense line making the match to end at 2-0 after the regulation time.

Kajiado FC head Coach Mohamed Hamisi Kaka was delight after registering the 4th win from the 8 matches he has played on NSL, terming the win as well deserved as all eyes are now aiming higher.

“Despite playing with young payers who has little experience in NSL they have started resisting NSL matches pressure and now am happy that they are delivering well.

“I think I prepared this game well because I knew playing against my head coach Stanley Okumbi it is not easy task, He used to head national team and I was his assistant so I can say tactically I new it is tough but I was prepared and I can say the tactical part has played well in today's game," coach Kaka said.

On his side Rainbow FC head coach Mercel Oile said his boys played well but they failed to convert chances and so they were punished now shifting forcus to the next game.

“We had so many chances to score and also win the match but unfortunately we dint convert our chances yes of cos we lost but it us to pick it up for the next match and prepare for another win” Said Coach Oile.

Kajiado FC is slated to playe Darajani Gogo on Saturday 11 this month on away match when Rainbow will be hosting Mulembe United in the coming Sunday.
