KBF Finals: Bosire keen to seal fifth title with Ulinzi
Kenya basketball men’s national
team Morans point guard Victor Bosire is targeting to make it five out five
men’s premier league titles as his side Ulinzi Warriors prepare for the
remaining matches of their finals match-up against his former side Kenya Ports
Authority.
The sides are evenly matched from
the opening two games with each winning a game apiece last weekend and will
look to go one up in Game 3, whose tip-off is slated for Saturday at 4.00 pm at
Nyayo gymnasium.
Bosire, who collected three titles
with KPA in 2016, 2017, and 2018 and the fourth one with his current side
Ulinzi in 2019, is confident of making it a quintuple at the end of this
season’s finals.
“Individually as Bosire am going
for my fifth title in row three with KPA and one with Ulinzi and this is going
to be my fifth and two in a row for Ulinzi.
“We have the experience to do it
and we are here to stay. If they want to win it, they will have to go through
us but we will not make it easy.”
He has urged his teammates to stay
focused ahead of next weekend’s crucial matches to stand a good chance of
defending the title.
“We are 80 minutes away from
achieving our dream and all I can ask of my teammates is focus and dedication
to ensure that we cross the line,” he added.
He averaged 22 points, six rebounds, and two assists from the two games and will hope to replicate his impressive
display to help is side overcome a resilient KPA side.
