Kenya Pipeline fell 3-1 sets to Zamalek of Egypt in
the final of the 2023 Women’s Africa Club Championships held Monday evening in
Tunisia.
Pipeline lost the opening set 25-22 before hitting
back to take the second set in 25-18. The Egyptians claimed the third set in
25-15 before sealing the fourth set in 25-17
By winning silver, the Kenyan champions registered an
improvement from last year’s tournament where they claimed bronze.
The loss further extends Pipeline’s drought for the
African title they last won in 2005.
