Kenya Police Bullets FC huge win in FKF Cup has coach Habib bullish
Kenya Police Bullets FC assistant coach Hussein Habib has
termed their huge win against Embu Queens in a women's FKF Cup preliminary
match as a motivation in their quest for an inaugural title.
Speaking after they white-washed their hosts 8-0 at the Embu
Stadium, Habib said they used the match as a preparation, ahead of the nine
remaining league matches.
"This match has been a good preparation for our coming
league matches where we intend to even do better," said the coach.
Mercy Masika scored a brace for the law enforcers as Diana
Wacera, Yasmin Khalid, Lucy Kwekwe, Mercy Njeri, Winnie Gwatenda and Lydia Waganda
also got on the score sheet.
On changing most of their first team squad players, the
gaffer added that they always believe in all their players and it is a
challenge fighting for a starting berth.
"We treat all players equally and that gives the girls
a challenge to always perform when called upon."
Bullets’ victory saw them join Ulinzi Starlets, KISPED and
Nakuru City Queens in the round of 16 of the FKF Women’s Cup.
Bullets currently lead the league standing unbeaten with 31
points after 13 matches, three more than their main rivals Vihiga Queens.
