Kibera Black Stars Team Manager Kevin Adongo has urged the country's football governing body, Football Kenya Federation to establish effective strategies to improve club funding.
Speaking to Citizen Digital, Adongo revealed that lack of funds denied Kibera Black Stars a chance to win the National Super League (NSL) title last season.

He added that it was difficult for the club to operate smoothly owing to financial constraints at the club, even after securing good results against all the clubs that finished in the top ten of the league standings.
"You can have the best players but you cannot sustain a team without funds. For us we are already planning ahead of the coming season with several potential partners in mind. I can only urge the federation to pump money into our football, the fans are there, the teams are there but there is no money in our leagues," Adongo said.
Adongo also confirmed that player Costa Musuva has joined Kenyan Premier League side Kariobangi Sharks, while Eugene Okoth is heading to Kakamega Homeboyz.
