Speaking to Citizen Digital, the talented striker expressed her joy after winning the FKF Women’s Cup and finishing as the second-highest scorer in the Women’s Premier League during her debut season with the team.
According to Mboya, she believes she would have clinched the Golden Boot had she participated in the league from the start.
"I'm grateful to my club for giving me the chance to showcase my prowess, it was my debut season but everything went well. I had set a target of 20 goals for myself and I'm fully motivated to win the Golden Boot in the near future," she said.
Additionally, the player is delighted to have earned her first call-up to the national team, Harambee Starlets.
She revealed that several clubs, both locally and from Tanzania, are now eyeing her. She stated that if offered a good deal, she is ready to begin a new chapter in her football career.
"Playing for Harambee Starlets has opened doors of opportunities, it's true I've received several offers even from Tanzania. I'm still weighing options and ready to move when a good deal is tabled," she added.
Mboya joined Kibera Soccer Women during the second leg of the season from National Super League side Sunderland Samba.
Her immense contribution helped the team lift the FKF Women’s Cup and also finish second in the league’s top scorers’ chart.
