Two-time Women's Premier League champion and former national team player Lillian Adera made history for Kisped Queens by scoring the club's first-ever league goal in their debut season. Her strike secured a vital 1-1 draw against the formidable Ulinzi Starlets in a thrilling weekend encounter.

The seasoned forward's goal, her first for Kisped Queens, came in the 23rd minute through a clinical free-kick that leveled the score after Ulinzi Starlets had taken an early lead. Adera’s well-executed strike showcased her sharp instincts and composure in front of goal.

Speaking to Citizen Digital after the match, Adera expressed her pride in contributing to her new team's efforts. "I've been training for this moment for a long time because I've been in the league for a while. Scoring for my new team was a proud moment," she said.

Adera, formerly the captain of Vihiga Queens, played a pivotal role in their 2017/2018 FKF Women's Premier League title win.

Kisped Queens' head coach, Daniel Minjis, acknowledged the challenges of facing a well-organized team like Ulinzi Starlets but praised his players' resilience.

“It was not an easy game, especially playing away against such a strong side. However, I'm grateful we managed to secure a draw,” Minjis said.

He also commended the experience of key players like Adera, whose contribution was crucial to the team’s performance.

The draw places Kisped Queens 9th in the league table with 1 point, tying them with Ulinzi Starlets, who sit in 7th place.
