Kisumu All Starlets could be relegated from the Kenya Women Premier League after forfeiting three matches.

The Juma Said coached side failed to turn up at Kenya Police Sacco on Tuesday, March 24 2026 for a match against the defending champions Kenya Police Bullets thus handing the law enforcers three points and two goals.

The walkover elevated Police on top of the table with 40 points three ahead of second placed Trinity Starlets as Ulinzi Starlets, Vihiga Queens and Zetech Sparks wrap up to five with 35, 30 and 28 points in that order.

Kisumu are place bottom in the 12th position with four points.

This is the third match Kisumu Starlets are forfeiting after Ulinzi Starlets and Zetech Sparks and as per the Football Kenya Federation league and competition rules they are facing a direct relegation.

Speaking to Citizen Digital Kisumu head coach Juma Said termed the current season their worst ever as financial struggles has pushed them to relegation.

“The relegation is due to financial constraints. We have been unable to honor our away matches because we can’t meet the travel cost, pay players allowances, meet their meals cost among other costs.

For now we don’t have any option other than going back to drawing board and prepare to play in FKF WNLS. Football Kenya Federation needs to step in and salvage women football. Teams are suffering and I’m wondering how we will survive in the NSL.”

One match is scheduled for Wednesday, March 25, whereby Kibera Soccer Women will host newbies Gideon Starlets at Marist from 1PM.
