Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) continued their strong form in the ongoing Kenya
Volleyball Federation (KVF) men's National League with a convincing
straight-sets victory over Kenya Airports Police Unit (KAPU) at the Kasarani
Indoor Arena.
KPA triumph 3-0 with set scores of 25-13, 25-15, and 25-19
delivering a dominant performance, particularly excelling in blocking and
serving, which proved decisive in securing the win.
Head coach James Ontere expressed satisfaction with his
team's execution.
"I think we played as per whatever we talk about in
training, we gave very good blocking and very good services, that's what gave
us the win," Ontere said.
For KAPU, the defeat highlighted the challenge of facing one
of the league's top sides.
Head coach Luke Makuto acknowledged KPA's superiority while
emphasising the need for resilience regardless of player availability.
"KPA are top and they are playing good volleyball and
they deserve that win. As a coach, you don't make excuses that so and so is not
playing because all players must play," Makuto stated.
KPA's victory reinforces their position as strong contenders
in the 2025/2026 season, building on recent performances in the second leg.
