KSSSA officials to inspect Games venues in Mombasa

Officials from Kenya Secondary Schools Sports Association (KSSSA) and ministry of Education will on Tuesday inspect villages and venues that will host Term One Games in Mombasa.

Coast Secondary Schools Sports Association Omar Munga, said the KSSSA delegation will be in the coastal city for a tour of the Shimo La Tewa and Shanzu Teachers College grounds.

The team will also visit the Oshwal Academy swimming pool which will host the swimming competition.

Shanzu Teachers College will host handball, hockey and Cross country while Shimo La Tewa Secondary will be the main venue as Basketball, Rugby 7s’ and 15s’ will be staged.

Munga assured their visitors that they are ready to host them and have easy time during the championships.

Meanwhile Shimba Hills Sevens coach Said Kenya has fired a tough warning to their opponents and advice them to prepare very well as they will see fireworks from all coast teams.

Shimba hills were crowned Coast champions after they outclassed Barani of Kilifi in rugby sevens.

“They should know that Coast is now a rugby zone and they must prepare well and a tough competition is awaiting them,” Kenya said.

The games run from April 8 to 13 with all the eight regions represented in the one-week championships.
