Leopards edge Singinda to Super Cup semis
Local giants AFC Leopards sailed to the Super Cup semi finals edging Tanzania’s Singida 5-4 on post match penalties, after a 1-1 draw in regulation time at the Uhuru Stadium – Dar es Salam on Monday.
Salum Chuku sealed Singinda’s fate after blasting his spot kick over the bar, as Bernard Mang’oli, Duncan Otieno, Allan Kateregga and Gilbert Fiamenyo converted Leopards’ penalties.
Singinda had shown clear intent knocking out Ingwe, with Tingunyi Tafadzwa scoring the opener in the 10 th.
Teenager Vincent Oburu restored parity early in the second half, finishing off a sumptuous cross by Ghanian Fiamenyo.
