AFC Leopards have completed  the signing of Zoo FC defender Isaac  Kipyegon and  offered a new deal to defensive stalwart Salim  S’hittu’ Abdalla as Kenyan Premier League(KPL)preparations for the 2018/19 season takes shape in earnest.

The duo represent Ingwe’s second and third recruits after the club also formally announced a two-year contract extension for defender Robinson Kamura and the appointment of new club head coach  Nicola Kavazovic.

Kipyegon was a key player at Zoo FC and his contributions helped the side finish 11th in the 2018 KPL season.

According to Leopards, the left-back has penned a three-year deal with the club that should keep him at the outfit until June 2021.

“AFC Leopards confirms a three year deal signing of Isaac Kipyegon from Zoo Kericho.

“Welcome to the den Kip,” the club said in a statement posted on the club’s official twitter.

Abdalla, whose current contract was due to expire at the end of the year, has been rewarded for his outstanding performance at the heart of Ingwe’s defence with a three-year deal extension.

Meanwhile the new club’s head coach Nicola Kavazovic who takes over from Argentine Rodolfo Zapata is expected to face an arduous task of turning around the floundering fortunes of the former KPL giants.

Leopards have been on a league title dry spell stretching two decades.

The big cats finished seventh last season and surrendered the FKF-Shield which they had won a season before after finishing third in the tournament.
